Fees

The Law Offices of Jeff Goldman wants to partner with you in the risk of the success of your immigration petition. If we believe in your case to the point where we have advised you to file a petition with USCIS, then we should stand behind this and partner with you, and receive our final payment only if your petition is approved.

Please note that all documents submitted to USCIS must be translated in full, and the cost of translations is not included in the below quote.

Green cards

The green card process is a two-step process for Athletes of Extraordinary Ability. An athlete or coach may file both at the same time to speed things up, or he may decide to wait for an approval of Step 1 (the more difficult part—proving he is extraordinary in his sport) before spending time and money on Step 2.

Step 1: The Immigrant Visa Petition for an Athlete of Extraordinary Ability

NOTE: the below fees for Step 1 are reduced by 50% if we have already prepared and filed an O-1 visa petition for the same athlete.

1. $2,500, due at the time you ask us to start our work;

2. $2,500 plus the government filing fees ($580, but if you want to expedite the processing, add an extra $1225 Premium Processing fee. The current processing time is approximately 5 months, and Premium Processing guarantees government action in 15 days), due prior to filing the Immigrant Visa Petition, no later than the day we file.

3. $2,500, due ONLY if your Immigrant Visa Petition is approved by USCIS (Step 1 completed), payable within one month of the approval.

Step 2: The Immigrant Visa Processing at the U.S. Consulate (or Adjustment of Status if the Athlete is legally inside the United States)

1. Total legal fee for Step 2 is $1,500, $750 due at the time we start our work on Step 2 and $750 due when you are granted permanent residence in the United States.

2. Total government fees for Step 2 are $345 if you are processing an Immigrant Visa at the U.S. Consulate in your home country; or $1070 if you are filing an application to Adjust Status to Permanent Residency inside the United States.
